As part of Northwestern Mutual, we are proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY (LLS)
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer and funds lifesaving research around the world. It also provides free information and support services. Ian has been involved in different aspects of LLS since 2013, which is when a family member had been diagnosed with Leukemia. He was on the board for a charity golf tournament for five years, which cumulatively raised over $600,000 for LLS and has participated in several of the annual galas to support the cause.
ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND FOUNDATION FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees and financial professionals like us have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL FOUNDATION–MINNEAPOLIS
Ian has been an active member of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation—Minneapolis since 2009. The foundation works to enhance the efforts of the individuals within the Northwestern Mutual-Minneapolis network office in serving their local communities throughout Minnesota. Ian is the current President and provides oversight on donations to local charities. Since Ian has been an active member, the foundation has given over $500,000 to all types of charities.
