Ian has worked in the financial planning industry and with Northwestern Mutual since 2004 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Desiring ongoing growth in his professional development and business, he has earned his CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP® and AEP® designations. He also works with professional business coaches and consultants for continual growth and improvement. He has in-depth experience working with professionals and those nearing retirement and is most energized by clients who do multi-generational planning and engage their families in the process.

Ian grew up in Burnsville, MN and married his wife, Mary, in 2013. They live in Eden Prairie, MN with their children, Judah and Zuriah. In his free time, Ian enjoys reading, playing golf, cooking and hosting friends and family for dinner.

Cody has worked in the financial services industry since 2014, starting at Northwestern Mutual’s Duluth office as an intern and progressing to a Financial Advisor in 2015 after moving to the Edina network office. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Financial Markets and earned his Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation in 2020. He loves building relationships with his clients and works with a lot of young families and small business owners.

He and his wife, Whitney, got married in 2019 after being next door neighbors in Lakeville, MN their entire lives. An avid outdoorsman, Cody tries to spend most of his time fishing, deer hunting, traveling, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Caitlin joined Northwestern Mutual in March 2021. Growing up in Brookings, SD, she attended her first three semesters of college as a Graphic Design major at South Dakota State University and later transferred to North Central University in Minneapolis, MN where she finished her degree, earning a B.S. in Journalism in 2011. She has worked in various fields and areas of marketing and communications since, including corporate branding, graphic design, copywriting, editing and social media management.

As Marketing & Client Relations Manager, she curates our team’s digital presence, social platforms and overall brand. (She designed the Legacy Capital Group logo and branding!) She also leads client communication, on-boarding and engagement, as well as manages the daily schedules of each of our advisors. Caitlin and her husband, Logan, live in Chanhassen, MN with their kids, Maggie and Ozzy, and their goldendoodle, Gatsby. She loves interior design, group fitness classes, reading, hosting friends for dinner parties and trying new restaurants.

Mary began her career at Northwestern Mutual in 2011 and started working with her husband, Ian, in 2016. She holds her Series 6 and 63 securities registrations and her Minnesota Life, Accident, Health and Variable Annuities insurance licenses. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration in 2010.

As Director of Client Operations, Mary is the workflow manager of the team, and she champions the creation and ongoing management of client investment accounts. She also ensures that clients’ life and disability insurance applications move smoothly and efficiently through the underwriting process. Mary grew up in Iowa and moved to Minnesota in 2010, where she later met Ian at Northwestern Mutual in 2011. Ian and Mary got married in 2013 and now live in Eden Prairie, MN with their beautiful children, Judah and Zuriah. In her free time, she loves going for walks, reading, golfing and hosting friends for dinner.

Jeries joined Legacy Capital Group in 2023 as our team’s Planning Manager. He graduated from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities with a B.A. in Communications. Prior to joining our team at Northwestern Mutual, he worked as a financial advisor at another local reputable firm for seven years but desired to focus more on the planning side of the financial planning process. He thrives working on a team and being around like-minded individuals, so the transition from being an individual advisor to working on a team is a perfect fit.

As our team’s Planning Manager, he manages the creation of custom financial plans for our clients so they can achieve their financial goals with ease. Jeries was born in New York but grew up most of his life in Apple Valley, MN. He and his wife, Shannon, got married in 2023 and reside in Minneapolis with their French bulldog, Willie. They love to travel, enjoy live music and are big foodies, so if you’re ever in need of a restaurant recommendation, Jeries is your guy.
